indonesia--indoshmeesa!!!

For those of you that have been to our house, and seen our crib, know that BryLee was a chewer! I would go in there when I heard her wake up and she would have black in her teeth and all around her mouth from chewing the paint off!

and no, this is not the "vintage" look

well we kind of always joked about BryLee getting older and having something wrong with her cause she ate paint chips....

Well we get a letter in the mail.....

RECALL- LEAD IN PAINT!

I was livid! who does this? kids do chew things! hello people!!!!!!! They were manufactured in Indonesia (figures). My kid could have some serious problems!

So I did the obvious, called the Dr right away. I then had to take BryLee to get her blood drawn, poor girl! But she was a trooper and didn't cry or whine! thats my girl, i don't mind needles one bit either!

and the results are in....She had a normal blood result! yay! but man, had she had any lead in her system, Munire would have gotten it!

Needless to say, i get a brand new crib, with no chew marks! yay! but lets hope Nash doesn't take after his sister and get hungry in bed..haha jk, it was totally from teething!

That is so funny! I have never seen such damage from a kid chewing on it before! Good thing she is ok and that is awesome you get a brand new crib.

Dylan's crib looks exactly the same. Well, he likes to rub his teeth back and forth on the crib so at first I blamed it on Steve for scratching my expensive crib when we moved. Oops. Haha! Hooray for free cribs though!

Ha ha, no offense to your kid or anything, but it looks like a beaver went to town on that wood. Glad the blood work was normal.

aaahhh! I would totally freak out! Good thing you had them test her blood to put your fears to rest. I know they make guards for the railings... our first crib had those... you should see if they can put them on before they send it! Or maybe you could buy them somewhere else? But hopefully Nash won't be as bitey as BryLee! And the new one won't have lead paint, right??
