My Mothers day celebrations started at 5:00 on saturday night, Bart and Jackie came over and watched the kids, and Nate took me to my favorite place Cheesecake factory. It was scrumptious! Then at the dinner table he suprised me with a little BLUE BOX :) I opened it and found the cutest necklace ever!! I love it honey, thank you! The note that went with is was also very sweet :)
After dinner I returned home to my sweet kids.
oh you know, just bry pushing him around in her baby stroller (with my help of course) but he doesn't seem to mind!
I put Nash to sleep real quick, then I changed and I was out the door ASAP so I could go down to the Mayo clinic and see my good friend CORY LUCAS. My sister Jaime and her husband (Corys brother) were staying with him for the night so I thought i'd go down a pay a visit. When I got there Cory was asleep so me and Scott (they only allow 2 visitors at a time, so jaime was in the waiting area) just whispered and talked cause we didn't want to wake him. All the sudden I saw Corys eyes open and I told Scott he was awake. Cory started moving his arm and scott said that was his way of telling him to come to him. So Scott went over to Cory and told Cory he was here with him for the night, and he also told him that Jenn was here. He looked toward me with his eyes, and I could tell he wa trying SO HARD to focus. He tried to talk to Scott, but nothing would come out. He started moving his right arm again so Scott told me to stand up so Cory could see me. Scott said, its Jenn Miller. Then Cory nodded his head and tried to talk again.. He was still trying so hard to focus with his eyes. Then Scott told him he needed to rest and that he'd be back in the morning and they could talk then. Cory just turned his head looked at the clock and feel back asleep. He was awoke one more time about 20 min later and wanted to talk to Scott again. Silly Cory, always trying to be social :) Scott told him to go back to bed again and reasured him he'd be back in the AM. It was 1100 when visitng hours end so Me Jaime and Scott sat in the waiting area for a good half hour and talked. then it got late so we left. I am so glad I got to go see Cory, and I hope he knows how much we care about him! We are praying daily for him and his family. That was the end of my night.
This morning Nate got up with Nash to feed and etc..and we all slept in till 9 am which was so nice! I got to eat some Cheesecake for breatfast, and Nate made BryLee her breakfast so I didn't have to. Thanks nate for spoiling me rotten and helping my day to be nice and relaxing :) I love you so much!
So pretty much my best mothers day yet!

I read the Cory Chronicles and I can't believe all he has gone thru. I'm glad it IS something he will get over eventually, but what trauma he and his family have been through! Glad you got to go see him.

Hey jenn sorry it as been sooooo long!!! I look at your blog but half the time I get busy and I don't comment. Nash is so adorable! I miss you and I feel so bad we didn't get to hang out while i was in az. (I was helping Vanessa who just had her fourth baby!) Love ya
